頭份停車場廢鐵變賣 將進帳百萬

苗栗縣頭份市立立體機械停車場已閒置超過3年，今年將拆除並規畫為立體平面式的停車場，1樓預計作為轉運站使用，解決公路運輸及民眾停車的問題，而市公所也於3月獲得執照，年底前拆除完畢，拆除下的廢鐵將變賣回收，粗估價值約有100萬元，全額回歸市公所。
頭份市立立體停車場位在自強路旁，有著「雙子星」之稱，但當時的結構設計無法容納休旅車、廂型車等中型車輛，導致使用率日益降低，再加上維修費用極高，在2014年的勘查中發現，停車場內的鋼索已超過使用年限，且升降搬器鋼索輪硬化層也磨耗殆盡，若更新替換需300多萬元，因此市公所於2015暫停使用。
市公所表示，機械式立體停車場的頂樓鐵皮，於颱風期間易鬆脫、滑動，恐會危及行人安全，加上拆除後能增加基地使用價值，經審慎評估並通過審計室、交通部核准後拆除，頭份市公所主任祕書徐麗君表示，拆建工程已於13日開始動工，預計12月初能拆除完畢。
此外，市公所表示，拆除後會先將原本的廣停用地變更為停車場用地，未來將能規畫為立體平面式的停車場，預計1樓可作為轉運站使用。市公所強調，變賣粗估價值約有100萬元。
